Greenlight is a debit card and money app for families that gives parents the tools to manage and monitor spending, with options to pay allowance, assign chores, set savings goals, donate to charity, and more for their family’s finance. So their animations need to speak to both kids and parents alike!
The challenge
Develop a financial education animated series that’s fun, engaging, and informative for the teen and pre-teen Greenlight audience. The series consisted of 120 45-second videos that live within the Greenlight app, in a product called Level Up. We were responsible for setting the creative direction for the product as a whole and producing all 120 animated videos.
In addition these animations, we also delivered thumbnails, in-app stickers, Lottie files, and guidelines for implementation and future design.
design direction
We had to craft an aesthetic that appealed to core audiences and differentiated Greenlight in the competitive landscape, while still belonging in the finance space. We created a fun and colorful solution that’s engaging and imaginative while still readily conveying finance concepts.
